Terms of use
The rules for using a Sere stay pass. Short, because there is not much to say.
What Sere is
Sere connects guests staying in Tampere with local restaurants. Your host gives you a pass, and the pass shows you restaurants that offer a discount. Sere is free for you to use.
The restaurants give the discounts, not us
Every discount is offered and honoured by the restaurant itself. Sere is not a party to your meal, does not take payment, and does not sell food or drink. If something goes wrong with your meal or your bill, that is between you and the restaurant, though we would still like to hear about it.
Using your pass
- Your pass works between your check-in and check-out dates, and not outside them.
- Some discounts have a limit on how many times they can be used per pass. Your pass always shows you what is available and, where a limit applies, how many uses you have left.
- The pass is for you and the people you are staying with. Please do not pass the link on to others.
- The pass is intended to be held and shown by an adult in your travel party.
- A pass has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Show the confirmation screen to the restaurant before you pay. Restaurants cannot apply a discount afterwards.
When a restaurant can say no
A restaurant may decline a discount if the pass has expired, if the discount has already been used up, if the conditions shown on that restaurant's card in your pass are not met, or if they are simply too busy. The discount is their offer to make. If a restaurant leaves the pilot, its offers disappear from your pass.
This is a pilot
Sere is being tested in Tampere with a small number of properties and restaurants. Partner restaurants, discounts and the service itself may change or stop at short notice, and we will not always be able to warn you in advance. What happens to data if the pilot ends is set out in our privacy notice.
Misuse
We can disable a pass that is being shared publicly, copied or otherwise misused. If that happens and you think we got it wrong, contact us and we will look at it.
Our responsibility
We do our best to keep the information here accurate, but we cannot guarantee that a restaurant is open, that a discount is still available, or that the service is always reachable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
Your privacy
We do not ask for your name, email address or any account. What we do record, and for how long, is set out in our privacy notice.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections given to you by the law of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms limits them.
If we cannot resolve a dispute together, it may be brought before the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law. In Finland this is normally the District Court of Pirkanmaa or, if you are a consumer living in Finland, also the district court of your home municipality. As a consumer you may also bring the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
